In Memory

Kevin’s grandma died Saturday, June 14 at 2:15 pm. She was 95. She leaves behind two children (another is deceased), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

I wish I could say she had an amazing life, but when asked about her life, she would have told you that she could not remember a day when she was happy. Not one day. Not the day she was married. Not the day her children were born. Not one.

And I am not sure she ever tried.

Such a sad way to live a life.

The viewing is Tuesday with the funeral Wednesday. Kevin’s father is preaching at the funeral.

We told Brynn last night about Grandma's death. She asked a few questions, but not as many as we expected. She had a relationship with Grandma W. Kevin’s mom would take her with her when she visited the nursing home. Brynn was probably the closest out of all the great grandchildren mainly because she visited the most. I expect her to have many more questions before this week is over.

We pray that Grandma is now in Heaven and that all of her pain is now gone. And that she is rejoicing with the angels and eternally praising God.

Maybe now she will find the peace that she didn’t have her entire earthly life.

Goodbye Grandma. Please rest in peace.
