Water Taxi to Chinatown

On Saturday, we met everyone and took the Water Taxi to Chinatown. What was awesome was having our own personal tour guide with us. Chris knows so much history about the buildings of Chicago. I just love listening to him explain who designed a building. So interesting.

American Girl--Chicago Style

We are spending the weekend in Chicago celebrating Chinapalooza 2010. Brynn's birthday is in a couple of weeks, so we walked to the American Girl store and allowed her to pick out some birthday presents for her and Madie.
What an experience.
Sensory Overload.
Where to look first?
To say that it was fun is somewhat of an understatement.
It was a dream for an almost 6 year old girl and her baby doll.

Chinapalooza 2010

Friday night started off with everyone meeting at Geno's--a great Chicago style pizza place. This is a picture of the wall courtesy of Brynn's photography skills. Yes, we wrote a couple of places too.

We took the kids to see Storytime Live tonight in Pittsburgh. They loved it. Dora, Kai-Lan, The Wonder Pets and The Backyardigans all in one place! Amazing to them.

Waiting to go inside the theater

I love my spinny thing.

Celebrating with friends

We went out with Ilayna and her parents to celebrate Chinese New Year.

The problem with Chinese New Year being the same weekend as Valentine's Day---The lines at all the restaurants were crazy.

We ended up at Pizza Hut enjoying some really good pizza and some great friends.
