The reason our hearts are waiting...

See the person in the black coat?

See him now? He is kneeling.

He is now walking away.

See what is left behind? That is why we are still waiting for our second child from China. This is happening every day.

And that is why we wait---Because our hearts tell us to.

It gets me every time. And who knows how long they are out there exposed to the elements before someone has the heart to pick them up. So many just walk right by.
I wish they had a safe haven program like in the States, where a child can safely be left at a hospital or fire station.
I wish we still qualified to go back. Sigh.
We are waiting right along with you, every step of the way!

I wonder about this moment for our Snowflake all the time. Terrifying.

Oh my gosh! Where did you find those pics? Oh these poor babies. Our daughter was left at the orphanage gate, so that's comforting to know.

devastating, I still worry how we will approach explaining this later on...heartwrenching. So many children left like this...but remember, the lcuky ones are the ones that are left someplace with the intention of being FOUND quickly...some are less lucky.

yes...sad to say, these are the lucky ones.

Wow! These pictures are so powerful and heart wretching for us AP moms. I'm just always glad that whomever leaves these babies do it where they are safe and will be found fast.

I agree with Snowflowers Mum - I am getting goosebumps... I cannot fathom (whatever the reason) how someone could do this... I know they have their reasons but still...
