Happy Birthday Ian

We love spending time with Kevin's cousins. The girls--Isabella, Sofia, and Brynn--get along so well. It really is amazing. And now, Nate and Ian will have someone to play with when we get together. Nice of the to have a son so Nate has a friend.

First Day of School!!

Today, Brynn started Kindergarten. I can't believe she is old enough.

She was so excited. Her big worry--How would she ever remember all the kid's names?

I loved hearing her stories from her day.

Can you believe she, Dylin, and Alexis sat at the 1st grade table at lunch? Just shocking!

I loved her excitement. I hope it continues!

Spotting for deer

There are so many deer on the farm this year. We really don't need the binoculars to "spot" them, but Kevin is trying to teach Brynn to look for the antlers to spot a buck.

I love teaching the kids to respect nature and admire it without harming it (although I must admit that a few of the deer could go bye bye and I would be very happy--so would my hosta).

While Brynn and Kevin are spotting, this is what Nate is doing-running down the hill screaming. So hard to spot deer with a screaming brother beside you.

Taking a walk

Kevin has been working late this week, so it has been a lot of me time with the kids. We have been taking a walk most nights, mainly just to get out of the house. We are so blessed to live on a farm that is on a dead end road. The kids can run and have some freedom and I don't need to worry constantly about traffic.

And yes, Jenny the Unicorn comes with us a lot.
