Helping Daddy

Kevin built a swing set for Brynn a couple of years ago, but like most home improvement projects, it was never quite finished. Brynn and Nate decided that Daddy needed some help. Too bad it still isn't finished. Someday.

The Columbus Zoo

We went to Columbus for the long weekend. It was such a great trip. The kids loved the zoo, but they loved staying in a hotel even better. What is it about hotel staying that kids get so excited about?

4 Years!

I can't believe it has been four years since we first saw Brynn's referral pictures. The time has gone by so quickly.

I remember getting the phone call at work. I had told everyone earlier that day that if my agency called, do not hang up with them. Put them on hold until I could get to them. It was about 12:30 when I got the call.

The moment was magical.

We are so blessed to have this amazing girl in our lives. We are so grateful.

Bye Bye Birdie

Kevin found these when he was trimming the holly bushes in front of our house. One is from last year. The other had 3 eggs in it this year. The eggs were gone by the time he started trimming. Believe me, we would never have been allowed to disturb the nests if the eggs were still there.

We are so blessed to live in the country. We should be used to things like this, but it still amazes me every time we see nature this up close.

We always have such a great time when we get together with Jim, Amy and Ilayna. The kids absolutely love each other. Too bad I didn't get any pictures of all three of them together. Next time.

Kevin loves all things Oreos. When I saw these in the store, I knew I had to get them for him even though they were priced about the same as Girl Scout cookies--you know, you pay big bucks for 15 cookies.

Well, Kevin got a couple, but as you can see, Brynn likes them too.
